BIOGRAPHY
Angelo De Augustine grew up in Thousand Oaks, California, the son of two musicians. His father left the family when he was five, and after a teenage soccer injury derailed his athletic ambitions, a guitar from a family friend set him on a musical path. He taught himself home recording on an analog reel-to-reel machine rigged in his bathroom, using it to make his self-released 2014 debut, Spirals of Silence. He went on to release Swim Inside The Moon (2017), Tomb (2019), and Toil & Trouble (2023) through Asthmatic Kitty Records, and in 2021 he and Sufjan Stevens released the collaborative album A Beginner's Mind, written and recorded together in an upstate New York cabin.
