BIOGRAPHY

Dragonflies is a British rock project formed by Dhani Harrison and Nigel Godrich after the pair grew close during the pandemic, when Harrison sought Godrich's advice while working on his 2023 album Innerstanding. Their studio sessions evolved into a full collaboration, with Harrison handling lead vocals, guitar, piano and drums while Godrich played bass, analog synths and ran the tape machine that shaped the album's loops. The duo's debut album arrived September 18, 2026 via Dark Horse Records/BMG, featuring eight tracks including "Slower," "Setting Sun" and "Ophelia," with contributions from Joey Waronker, Nick Valensi, Maurice Talbot and string arranger David Campbell. Critics noted the record's golden, Pink Floyd-style shimmer on "Slower" and its Krautrock-pulsed, Brit-pop club echoes on "Setting Sun."

WHY THEY'RE COOL

Dragonflies pair Dhani Harrison's songwriting with Nigel Godrich's production instincts, built from live takes turned into analog tape loops. Their debut draws comparisons to Pink Floyd's golden sky shimmer and surges with Krautrock swagger, while "Setting Sun" channels the heady club energy of '90s Brit-pop, making for a psychedelic, electronic-tinged rock record that feels both nostalgic and immersive.
