BIOGRAPHY

Tom Misch (born 25 June 1995 in London) is an English musician and producer known for blending neo-soul, jazz-funk and alternative R&B. He studied music technology and briefly enrolled in a jazz guitar course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire before leaving after six months to pursue his own sound. He began sharing music on SoundCloud in 2012, later breaking through with the instrumental Beat Tape 1 and Beat Tape 2, projects that showcased his production skills and featured collaborators such as Loyle Carner. His debut album Geography (2018) reached number eight on the UK charts and earned generally positive reviews, praised for his guitar playing and distinctive vocal tone. In 2020 he teamed with drummer Yussef Dayes for What Kinda Music, released on Blue Note Records, which became his first top five album. Misch has also explored electronic production under the alias Supershy.
