BIOGRAPHY
The Elovaters formed in 2014 in Marshfield, Massachusetts, starting out as a seven-piece called The Cornerstone before renaming after a naming dispute with a European metal band. Frontman Jackson Wetherbee and drummer Nick Asta met at a bar and decided to build an original band from there.
Since their 2017 debut The Cornerstone, the group has released a steady string of albums, including Defy Gravity (2018), Castles (2021), and Endless Summer (2023), the latter closing the year at No. 14 on Billboard's Reggae chart. Their music has appeared on CBS' Hawaii Five-O, and their song "Boston" soundtracked the 2018 Red Sox World Series parade.

The Elovaters built momentum the old-fashioned way, through touring and steady releases, evolving from a local Boston bar-band origin story into a group with genuine chart traction: Defy Gravity and Castles both topped Billboard's Reggae chart, and Endless Summer landed at No. 14 for 2023. They describe their sound as growing from reggae, rock, and hip-hop influences rather than traditional Jamaican forms, giving them a distinct footing within the American reggae rock scene alongside acts like Pepper and Slightly Stoopid collaborators.
