BIOGRAPHY
Frog was founded by Daniel Bateman and Thomas White in Queens, New York in 2012, with Bateman releasing the project's self-titled debut in 2013 on Monkfish Records. The band grew to include drummer and percussionist Steve Bateman, Daniel's brother, who stepped in on drums after White briefly left in 2019 before rejoining on bass.
Across a run of albums including Kind of Blah (2015, Audio Antihero), Grog (2023), and Frog for Sale, Bateman has balanced the band with work as a freelance set decorator in film, writing lo-fi leaning, country-tinged indie pop rooted in fiercely humanist songs about the coping mechanisms people use to survive.

Frog has quietly built one of indie rock's more durable discographies, releasing critically acclaimed records since 2013 that have drawn praise from peers like Wednesday and MJ Lenderman.
