BIOGRAPHY
Sunidhi Chauhan, born Nidhi Chauhan on 14 August 1983 in Delhi, began performing at local gatherings at age four and made her film debut at thirteen with Shastra (1996). She won the reality show Meri Awaz Suno and broke through with "Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi" from Mast (1999), earning the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent.
Over a career spanning more than 2500 recordings across multiple Indian languages, she has won three Filmfare Awards and a Filmfare Award South, and lent her voice to nearly every leading Bollywood actress. Raised in a Rajput family with a theatre-involved father, she married musician Hitesh Sonik in 2012.
