BIOGRAPHY
Amitabh Bachchan (born 11 October 1942 in Allahabad) is an Indian actor, playback singer, and producer working primarily in Hindi cinema. Educated at Sherwood College and Kirori Mal College, Delhi, he debuted in 1969's Saat Hindustani, winning a National Award for Best Newcomer.
After early struggles, his 1973 breakthrough in Zanjeer established him as the 'angry young man' of Bollywood. He went on to star in Deewaar (1975) and Agneepath (1990), the latter earning him a National Film Award for Best Actor, and later won a second National Award for Black (2005). He has appeared in over 200 films and hosted the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
