BIOGRAPHY
Jessica Pratt is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter born April 24, 1987. Raised on Tim Buckley, X, and the Gun Club, she picked up guitar around 15 and taught herself using T. Rex's Electric Warrior. Her self-titled 2012 debut, released on Tim Presley's Birth Records, sold out immediately and established her as a distinctive voice in freak folk.
She followed with On Your Own Love Again (2015, Drag City) and Quiet Signs (2019, Mexican Summer/City Slang), then expanded her palette with 2024's Here in the Pitch, which traded hushed minimalism for richer, Pet Sounds-inflected arrangements. She has toured widely, including dates supporting Real Estate and Julia Holter.
