BIOGRAPHY
Alex G is the recording name of Alexander Giannascoli, a Pennsylvania-born musician who began self-releasing lo-fi albums on Bandcamp as a teenager, starting with 2010's Race. His 2014 album DSU, released via Orchid Tapes, drew critical acclaim and led him to leave school to focus on music full time.
He signed to Domino Recording Company in 2015 for Beach Music, followed by Rocket (2017) and House of Sugar (2019), each expanding his sound while keeping its idiosyncratic, intimate character. In January 2024 he signed to RCA Records, releasing his tenth album, Headlights. Along the way he played guitar on Frank Ocean's Blonde and Endless.
