BIOGRAPHY
Reverend Baron is the recording name of Danny Garcia, an American musician who first made his mark in the late 1990s as a sponsored skateboarder in the Southern California scene, appearing in professional videos and earning backing from brands like Quiksilver. In 2013, with encouragement from fellow skater turned singer-songwriter Matt Costa, he reinvented himself as Reverend Baron, releasing his debut EP Pheasant the following year.
His music blends American folk and blues with touches of sixties psychedelia and rock, favoring dreamy melodies over tales of broken love and everyday hardship. Garcia has grown into a multi-instrumentalist, engineer, and producer, releasing Rio View (2017), Overpass Boy (2019), the score to Alright, OK (2020), and From Anywhere (2022), a record notable for containing no love songs. He also toured with Drugdealer in 2018 and 2019, contributing to their album Raw Honey.
